I have ordered a Comcast internet connection thru Buycomcast.com website assuming that it is an official website for Comcast. I later realized that they are authorized service providers for Comcast. They ripped me of on a leased modem contract, charging double the money ($6/month for 2 yrs contract) for a $50 costing modem in any store.
Here is what they did to me:
I leased a cable modem as a part of this order assuming that it is from comcast. They charged me $6 per month for a modem instead of $3 which is normal amount charged by Comcast. I called them to cancel the service and came to know from the rep. that there is an early termination fee of $175 for a $50 market costing modem if I cancel the modem in 2 years agreement period as per the terms and conditions I agreed thru internet during my order placement.
I also noticed that they double charged my credit card in couple of situations and I had to dispute to get the money back. Once time they directed the customer care phone calls to another company. I called Comcast customer care to complaint about their authorized service provider on how they are cheating the customers. Well, as you all know, calling Comcast customer care is the last thing anyone in this world wanted to doit sucks!

Duuuuude! It says right on the website "Authorized Retailer"...most people with half a brain knowsd that's not them direct, just somebody contracted out to sell for them! Then you later realized they are authorized to sell for comcast?? That means they are official for COMCAST!! Next point: charging for a modem. Were you NOT aware these calls are recorded and there is a script read to you WORD for WORD?!?!? Your point is invalid. Not to mention, POOR GRAMMAR in this world is anything ANYbody will believe as you have so graciously demonstrated......
