Buypainmedsnow How to get a refund from these con artists Internet

Buypainmedsnow.com is a scam!!! They insisted that I pay via moneypak, which made me a little nervous, but I decided to go ahead with my purchase because all the reviews on their website are so positive. They promised to ship my order for next day delivery, but as soon as I sent them my payment info, they drained my moneypak card of all $500 and stopped responding to my emails. When the next day came and went and I hadn't received my order or even a tracking number, I knew that it was a scam. The positive reviews posted on buypainmedsnow.com are obviously all fake. I should have noticed before it was too late that they all appear to be written by the same person (all lower case letters, the same grammatical and spelling mistakes in posts purportedly written by different people, etc.).

 After I realized that it was a scam, I decided to make one last attempt to convince them to refund my money. The day after I was supposed to receive my order and didn't, I sent them the following email:

"You defrauded the wrong person. I am a private investigator and I will have no problem locating you through your ISP address as well as the moneypak transfer. Once I have that info, I will be turning it over to the police in whatever jurisdiction you live in. I just wanted to give you an opportunity to refund my money first. If you don't, I promise you will regret it."

I am a PI and I was completely serious about my threats, but still I was shocked when I received a response from them, apologizing and claiming that my order had been sent out and returned because they had written down the wrong address. Of course, that's total BS as there is no way they sent out an order and had it returned to them all in the course of 24 hours. But the important thing is that my email scared them enough that THEY REFUNDED ALL MY MONEY! Within a day, they emailed me with a new moneypak number loaded with $500.

I still think that this site is a complete scam, but my experience shows that they do have a weak spot that I was able to use to get my money back. I am sharing my experience in hopes that it might help other people get their money back too. When you demand your own refund, you might want to choose a different identity than I did. They are more likely to believe you if you don't claim to be a law enforcement officer yourself, just someone who has close enough ties to law enforcement that it will sound plausible when you say that you have the resources to track them down.

(i.e., admin. assistant to your local police chief/county sheriff, lab or evidence tech, security guard, the spouse of a police officer,/FBI agent, etc.) The other route you could take is to claim to be a computer whiz with the know how to track them down using their online footprint (i.e., information security security specialist, cyber intrusion detection analyst, computer forensics engineer, etc.)

If anyone finds themselves in a similar situation with these people, send them an email similar to mine. If it worked for me, it might work for you too!!!
