God.. What a terrible experience..
I have over 100 emails regarding my domain with these guys.. All these emails are about site down and their delayed stupid responses.. Most horrific experience for me ever..
Do NOT believe their Money-Back Guarantee, you will NEVER see your money again. You will have to file a Chargeback with your Credit Card!
These guys DO NOT have 99.9% uptime period, they do have 90% down time period. The tech support (which I think is run by one person in his basement!) always tries to deviate from the real issues.. so that they close the case..
Sometimes the entire Canaca system goes down, including their own website, especially at night. They will shut down your website without your knowledge all night long while you are sleeping.
Don't ever make the mistake I did. Go with anyone else but Canaca!
And if you got ripped off by this company please post your comments here, we can get enough people to shut this website and any of their other websites and servers down: here are the steps you can also do:
1.file a complaint with The FBI Internet Fraud system, you can do that online.
2. Report them to concumer protection agencies in the US and Canada.
I even heard that they don't actually own the server they are running, this means that if their provider shuts them down you will lose everything!
This company deserves to be taken down by a hacker if the law fails.

I was hosted with Canaca.com but that turned out to be the worst idea ever. As many of you who searched about this company have found, it does suck. They take long in customer service and can take down your site without a warning.
This all happened to me. I am literally in tears right now as I am writing this. It took me 3 years to get my site http://www.visualvendetta.com to get viewers. The first time I had 100 viewers a day to my site I thanked god for everything. Then my site hit 1000 viewers a day. I was making money off of ads and referrals. Enough to quit my job. Then suddenly it hit over 4000 viewers a day and Canaca shut down my site. They claimed i was uploading too much then they claimed I was trying to hack their site then they claimed my site was too large then they claim my site was running to many applications. none of this was true. In fact when my site hit 4000 viewers I wasn't doing anything to it for the whole month. It just happened. My site is basic and nothing that elaborate.
I think their servers there are not up to date and crashed when that many visitors came. They then without warning just took down my site. Without warning!!!! Who does this? It took me hours and hours of emails to them trying to find out why my site was down. And when I finally contacted someone, all the nonsense from them finally came out, claiming this and that about my site. There are no phone contacts through them, though they claim to have an emergency number. But they don't. Every pass of a sentence is through emails so every sentence takes over an hour. A basic 30 minute conversation turned into three days of emails back and forth cause of this stupid method they call "support line."
They first said they would get my site up after I agreed to correct the bandwidth issue. But they never got my site back up for me to get into it to even see my files. They then said they will refund me 1/2 my money though I paid for 2 years more of service which was over 300 USD. But they didn't.
Finally in the end nothing happened. My site is still down without any feedback from their support other than "please refer to your tickets." (I have over 100 of them tickets) And now so depressed and have been losing sleep. I can't eat right I can't do anything right. I lost revenue from my site those 3 days it was popular with over 4000 views a day. How often is that? I knew that my site would go up and down with viewers. An I was making so much money through my ads at the time. Lost over 1000 USD cause my site was entering its prime. And lord knows how much more over time it would have made. My site was everything to me. I'd spent over 3 years to get it up and going, and in a few days when it finally started getting good Canaca killed it.
