Capital Management Service. L.P Stated I OWED $1,483.48 to a Company I've never done business with ? Buffalo New York

I was contacted by U.S mail . The letter stated I owed a Company money that I had defaulted on back in 1994. The letter was to offer a settlement of 30% of the total money owed on the account.

I contacted them on there toll free line 1-877-219-6629 at the time I got this women on the line and asked her what this letter was about ? She asked for the ref# which I gave her. She stated I had owed this money for years and needed to pay up ! I told her I never had a account with this company and she said is this your address which she listed off my fathers address . I said no that was not my address and had not lived there since 1976.

Well she says is this your last 4 SS# and I said yes but a lot of companies share this Information. Then I say what year was this debt from ,she said 1994 . I said Ma" that's first of all not my debt and second it's 14 friken years old and the stats have ran out ! She tried to tell me there was this new law "R-9" and it allows there company and others to collect on old debts even if there over 10 years old . I said you are so full of s**t !

and then I asked them not to contact me again and also asked if the had in fact had proof If I had had this account to send me all paper work and I'd look at it. She stated this was the only INFO she had. Well I said here's a little more INFO for you and your company. STOP and I Repeat ! Stop calling , sending letters or I was have to contact the national Harassment dept of better business bureau.

I can't help but notice that there is a lot of complaints with the same reasons. I think a class action is in order. If there Is someone out there thinking of doing such, Count me in and I'll even help where I can. People remember they can't treat you like Crap so just fight back. Also remember what goes aroung ,come around...
