Carolina Furniture HR Privette ripoff ripoff fraud business High Point North Carolina

On 9-4-02 I entered into a contract with Carolina Furniture, Mr. H.R. Privette to provide me with Ashley Millenium Hampton Lane Bedroom Furniture.

I sent him a check for $1,418.50 half the purchase amount of the furniture.

I was told in 16 to 18 weeks I would Receive my furniture.

I called Mr. Privette several times and was finally informed that my order would be delivered 12-29-02.

I faxed him a check for the balance of $1,418.50 andthe furniture was delivered on 12-29-02.

It as delivered very late that day, and when it was unpacked it was discovered that the Master Chest Top was damaged.

The driver Ronnie Wise informed me it would be replaced within 3 weeks. And took the chest top back with him.

On 12-30-02 I discovered that the Queen Headboard and one 3 Drawer night stand were also damaged.

I immediately called Mr. Privette, and he advised me that all three pieces would be replaced.

I have called numerious times e-mailed and faxed requests for my furniture to Mr. Privette.

On 2-16-03 I received an e-mail from Mr. Privette that he had not forgotten me and would call me on Monday. I have not heard from him since.

I also went on his web site as suggested in the new telephone message to track my order and the last update was on 2-16-03.

I would like to have the damaged furniture replaced or a refund of $1,283.00 to cover the cost of the Master Chest Top, Queen Head Board and the 3 Drawer Night Stand.

I have been in touch with Ashley Furniture and they have informed me that they have discontinued this furniture.

After reading everything on the internet (Rip-Off Report) and the Better Business Bureau report, I guess I am luck to have any furniture at all.

I hope you can help all ofus get some kind of satisfaction.
