Carolina Furniture consumer fraud rip-off High Point North Carolina

I too gave Carolina Furniture a deposit of $8,009 in September 2002 for a $16,218 order of Thomasville and Bob Timberlake furniture. After countless voicemails requesting order status HR contacted me in early January 2003 with promises of "all furniture is in the warahouse with the exception of on piece and we would be calling me again within the next week to schedule delivery".

Needless to say nothing happened and I was finally able to talk to him again in late January. He explained he was heavy in inventory with no cash flow and he guaranteed all customers would eventually receive their furniture or refunds eventually.

I told him to deliver my furniture and I would gladly pay the remaining $8,009 to improve his cash flow and reduce his inventory. He laughed and asked for my patience.

Needless to say I have been unable to contact them since even though I call the 800-340-0064 number and leave voice mails and emails. The internet tracking feature is also a hoax and will never give anyone any information.

I have forwarded all information to the NC AG and FBI.
