General Service and Support Complaint.
I ordered a 2003 BMW 535i X-DDrive Sedan from them Carvana specified as follows:
Body Style Sedan Passenger Capacity 5 Exterior Color Jet Black Interior Color Black Dakota Leather Wheel 17 Alloy wheels Tire 225 50 tires Entertainment and Instrumentation AM/FM Stereo Bluetooth Wireless BMW Assist Sirius Satellite
- They missed every milestone including the delivery date.
- On delivery the car was Gray and not Jet Black.
- The day befor delivery Carvan informed me that the weather stripping was disintergrating and parts of the weather stripping was missing. Carvan siad that I could postpone delivery for a coiple more weeks (already two weeks late) and they would replace the weather stripping at no cost to me before deivering the caror that the would coordinate payment for the replacement of the weather stripping with SilberRock 100-Day Warranty (and of course SilverRock specified that the weather stripping was not cobered and that the would not pay for the repair) and that Carvana would pay the deductible. It took over a week to get authorization to bring it to an authorized BMW Service Department. And I do not know who paid for the replacement.
- While not listed in the Entertainment and Instrumentation Systemn the car did have a working DVR, but no Instalation DVD to run the program. Eventually, Carvan acknoedged the error and either Carvan paid for the software ($Approx $450.00), or had Sivler Rock 100-Day Warranty pay for the software, and had it shipped to Chandler, AZ's Champam BMW service department.
- I asked Chapman if they installed the software, that I would pay for the installation. They told me it was a User Friendly 2-Step procees, insert DVD, wait a minute and eject the DVD as the software loaded autonatically.
The software never loaded the GPS NAvigation System has never worked after multiple attemps.
Carvana keeps trying to avoid responsibiliy and accountability. Even though Carvana coordinated the purchase of Install DVS disks. now they say they will not pay for getting the GPS Navigation System up and functional.
Except for the delivery personnel, all other Carvana employees I dealt with were the customer friendly, alwats combative and fought me for everything that needed to get my car up to am acceptable level.
As it is, I would never go back to Carvana, and I would never recommend them to another potential car buyer. If one deides to use Carvana in spite of their performace with me be prpared for: a) Deliquent milestones and delivery. b) Receiving a car of a different color than you are ordering, c) Receiving a car that is missing equpiment or that equipment doesn't work, and d) A lengthy battle to get the car you thought your had ordered.

Anybody who would buy some dumb USED car sight unseen on the internet nets an immediate head examination. You sent your money off to somebody you don't know to buy some dumb used car you've never seen, never test driven, never checked for body damage, never checked each and every accessory! Now you wonder why it's not what you thought you bought! Am I ever impressed! Oh, but there's more! Did you do any research on used BMW's? They are so much of a money pit with super expensive and regular repairs that many reputable used car dealers REFUSE to stock them! Have fun! "A sucker is born every minute!" ... P. T. Barnum.
