A man from the Department of law and investigations has been calling me and my husband all morning with information that he says was extremely urgent. When I finally got tired of the calling and messages I answered the telephone I was greeted with a very abrupt and rude man telling me that he is a detective and that I am in serious legal trouble.

He proceeded to give me a case number (which I'm sure was pulled out of the air) and said that I took a cash payday loan and never paid it back. I have never taken a payday loan in my life so I knew he was full of beans. This is not the first time that these people have called me either.

The first time was a woman that could barely speak English and could hardly pronounce my name calling me a chicken. Today it was another man calling me and threatening to bring a lawsuit against me for stealing money.

I could however go and request transfer from my bank in the amount of $3000 and clear it up today. I was told that these people are actually getting people to give them money and have been threatening physical violence on people.

I didn't fall for this scam and I hope this may help others to know that there is no such department and if they can hardly speak English and have All-American names, it's a scam.
