When I was hired, the Cingular retail store in which I was designated had ZERO activations for the previous months and their profits were really not much better. Within a single month period of me running the store as manager i had almost made up for past loss in for what they had debated the company in the three months or more prior...
By the end of my three months of employment the store was booming with business and I had more than tripled my initial goals in every way! At no time was I ever paid or even offered commissions. I was aware that other employees were receiving them, but not all of us... It was for whoever the owner was more on a personal /friendship level with.
After around a month and a half or so there was a string of break in robberies that focused solely on HIS stores. This went on for quite a while. When I showed up every morning to open I prayed that my location had survived the night. Well one morning I arrived to find the side window had been busted out and all the inventory (phones only) and cash was gone... There was a set protocol on what was to be done with cash and inventory every night, it was common practice in all of his stores.
When I called to check in with the main office, I was told that I was to blame and to stay there until one of Chris Kelley's cronies showed up. The man was furious, screaming obscenities and storming all around! He inevitably fired me, so I handed over my keys told him to go F himself and I left.
I guess sometime that morning the man that showed up had called one of my contact numbers which was my parents house and told my mother that my location was robbed and that I was under suspicion! Some time went by and finally I found out that it was an 'inside job'... how inside I'll never know...
The day of the break in was my three month evaluation day in which i was up for a raise... from what i understand this was common practice with that company. They hire you for three months get there cheap minimum wage labor out of you with no commissions then fire you right before they have to pay you a penny more...
They ended up having to close the store for reasons unknown.

Yup, I actually made it almost a year and after not receiving my commission check for a few months I demanded an explanation and documentation showing why I wouldn't have received one (as my stats were excellent and I too doubled or more their sales for the store). Soon after I was told to hand in my keys and my DM told me that he would callm e and let me know what was going on. THREE weeks later he finally answered my calls and told me I was fired. Obviously I had given up by then but just wanted him to have the balls to say it since he couldn't for three weeks. And its funny cause they seem to make up the rules as they go and try to blame you for things that happen to make excuses as to why they don't have to pay you. They are so full of it and the worst company to work for. Clearly the owner, Chris Kelley and his pathetic chronies are out to screw anyone and everyone. One hard lesson learned. And hopefully the customers realize that they are being ripped off as well. What I can say to the customers is check your monthly statements cause I was told by my DM that Chris Kelley likes you to add-on features without the customers approval.

That's how they do it! I've watched a few decent ones come and go. Today was my day to go. I had a big commission coming up, and they axed me before that or before I was eligible for unemployment. F*ck Chris Kelley!
