I got a call about a month and a half ago about being approved for a loan from centerpoint-services. When I called back I talked to Sarah Anderson and she told me I had been approved for a $5000.00 5 year loan or a $10,000.00 10 year loan.

However, due to my credit score she said I had 3 options to secure the loan. She asked if I owned a house, had a cosigner, or I could take out a loan insurance policy. I don't own a house, and I didn't want to invovle anyone else so I said a loan insurance policy.

Then I was told I could choose basic, intermediate or full coverage with different prices for each. Of course I picked the cheapest at 400.00. I then had to western union the money to the insurance agent. Once it was received Sarah Anderson told me everything was set. After waiting a couple days for the loan to go through I called her back and told her I hadn't gotten anything. She explained due to my credit I needed a full insurance policy and that it required another $500.00. I then asked her what the deal was and that it sounded like a scam. She reassured me that it wasn't and that I could cancel the loan and get my money back, but that it would take 4-6 weeks to return it. So I went ahead and sent the other $500.00.

Then she told me that the lender would call me the next day. I didn't get a call so called her back where she said she had my phone number down wrong in the paperwork, which seemed odd as she had called me several times while I was getting the money together. Anyway, she said it was fixed, the lender would call and the money would be wired to my bank by Friday and to call her on Monday if there were any issues.

Sure enough, come Friday no money. I called her on Monday and the computer answering service wouldn't allow me to connect to her extention or any other. My phone numer, and work phone number had been blocked. So I used my roomates phone which worked fine, but only got her voicemail after I Identified myself. So I called back and went to the customer service extention. Went to voicemail there as well. When I tried to call back later on, my room mates phone was blocked by their service as well.

Since then I have not been able to talk to a live person at that company. Everytime I call it goes to voicemail and evertime I have to change phone numbers just to connect at all after which that phone number gets blocked and no one ther answeres the phone or emails I have sent them asking about my loan, a refund or for any reason at all. Bottom line is I was scammed out of $900.00.
