Chase Bank has the con of all cons of the future! Now, with Chase Bank, you have to pay a $10 fee to pay your auto loan payment online? Why you ask????
The nearest conclussion I can come to from reading other reports and my own experiences is "a bonus for the CEO"!!!
Here's how the scam works:
You go to the car dealer and pick out your new car. Now as we all know or should know, every car dealership in America gets "kickback", yes I did say "kickback" from every bank whom they push a car loan through!
Now comes the first of the month and your car loan payment is due so you write a check, stick it in the mail, and you think you've alotted enough time for the mail----- but to your dismay, Chase says they didn't receive the check until your payment was late! Now they assess you a "late fee"!
Ok Chase, you want to play games, I'll do an online payment and have record of receipt---right??? You could never be farther from the truth!
First, to even use Chase online banking you need to open an account--that's right, your loan is not an account??? UH?? I'm confused??? No! Your loan is NOT an account! Then I ask, what the hell is it????
Ok, now you open an "account"--either savings or checking! Now I can use online banking ----right????? WRONG AGAIN SUCKER!!!! CHASE IS A MEGA BANK!!! THEY PAY FOR THE POLITICIANS ELECTION SO MR> REP HAS TO GIVE THE STORE AWAY IN RETURN!
Now, with your Chase Bank account, I can just go online and make my payment, right? RIGHT! There's just one catch, there's a $10 payment fee!!! OH
Take the 60 month or 72 month loan, this is a nice little bonus for Mr. Bigshot so he can play golf three times a week at the premere golf clubs in America!
Thanks Chase, next time I'll bring the vasoline!!!!!
Oh yeah, Washington, are you reading any of this from the numerous customers that have all reported similar incidents? Are you doing anything about it or are you just staying in the pockets of corporate America so you can get re-elected and screw the public some more????

Chase isn't the only company in America that charges a payment transaction fee so I think you just need to get over it. I don't agree with the fee and I wouldn't pay a transaction fee unless I absolutely needed to but it's not up to me. If you don't want to pay the fee then mail the payment 5-7 days in advance of your due date to avoid a late charge. You have 10 days til a late fee is charged anyway so you have plenty of time to get the payment to us without any penalities. It's real simple and then you won't have anything to complain about.

I too have a loan account with Chase, however I also happen to bank with Chase. If you have an open Checking or Savings account, there is a way to bypass the $10 fee. Instead of clicking the Pay Now on the front of the Screen, set your payment up as a transfer. You can transfer from your checking to your loan account without being pentalized. I had the same frustration when I first opened my loan, the Rep at Chase explained how to set up the transfers to avoid the fees. I hope that helps. It is pretty disturbing that if you have a checking account through Chase you have to pay the fees.

You can and SHOULD make online payments from your own bank's bill pay site. When you give your account information to a creditor like Chase you are also giving them open access to your account. They can and will take payments whenever they choose.
On the other hand, if you do it from your own bank, you privacy is assured, you have control of how much is paid, and when, and you have proof of when it was received.
