MY SON HAS A CHASE CREDIT CARD NOW SINCE CIRCUIT CITY WENT OUT OF BUSINESS. HIS DUE DATE FOR THIS CARD HAS BEEN ON THE 28TH OF EACH MONTH FOR THE PAST 4 MONTHS. HE SCHEDULED HIS ONLINE PAYMENT AS USUAL....AND GUESS WHAT, THEY CHANGED THE DUE DATE TO THE 23RD OF MAY, SO THEY WERE ABLE TO ASSESS A LATE FEE. PO'D...YOU BET! I AM CALLING THEM IN THE AM TO COMPLAIN....BUT, FROM WHAT I'VE READ ON HERE, I WON'T GET ANYWHERE.

I AM FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE COMPTOLLER'S OFFICE AND EVEN THINKING OF FILING A CLASS ACTION SUIT....AS I BET MY SON IS NOT THE ONLY ONE THEY ARE SCAMMING. HE IS 21 YRS OLD AND HAS A CREDIT SCORE OVER 730.....THESE PEOPLE ARE GREEDY, THEY HAVE MESSED WITH THE WRONG PERSON THIS TIME.

As usual your son scheduled an on-line payment, so I am sure he as usual actually READ his statement. Because if he did that he would have seen the change in due date.

Also, I have a Chase(Ex Circuit city card), and have had no issues with it. In fact when they sent me the new card(no more CC on it). I had to call to activate it. They not only told me my due date could vary(but I already knew that), but they even offered to change the billing cycle if the range didn't work for me.

By the way if your son is 21 years old why in the world are YOU dealing with this. He is an adult and they won't even talk to you about HIS account, so in that respect you are correct YOU won't anywhere. As long as he does not go over 30 days late this won't effect his credit score at all.
