City Inn Financial Services Mail Scam West Downsview Ontario

I received a letter in the mail from City Inn Financial Services. It was a Winning Notification, for the North American Lottery Games. It said I am entitled to $60,000.00 US dollars, it was a total prize money of $300 Thousand Dollars, blah blah blah. Also, with it was a check drawn from M&T Bank. Watermaked, everything. It was for $4,950.00, and once I cashed it I was told to send them back $2,950.00 for processing fees. It said it had to be paid by either Money Gram or Western Union, located at any Wal Mart or Seven Eleven stores near me. And once I sent them that money back, I would get the remaining balance of $55,050.00.

The names involved in the letter are Donna Carr (Who we called and she assured it was not a scam, even though we knew it was already). Also the Receiver's name is Noe Lopez, and the address is 1110 Finch Ave West Downsview, ON Canada M3N 4J8. It was signed by Mrs. Shanny Wilhurt, labeled as a Promotion Manager.

The check was drawn from Wayne Production Inc. in Frazer PA. Which is a legit company when we looked it up.

We called the bank and they notified us that it was a scam, and that it was probably stolen money, and once we cashed the check and sent them the $ back, they would come after the person who cashed the check.

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.

I just wanted to put this on here and warn everyone. As they say, if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't.
