In 2002 I ordered my Clayton Rio Vista Home from Luv homes. When it arrived the first weekend of September I inspected it found the wrong carpeting I had paid extra for a thick carpet not the mill run,the washer and dryer were also missing which they had promised if i factory ordered the home. When the home was finally delivered to my property on Thanksgiving week the carpet had not changed,it was full of furniture that had gotten thrown around while moving and put holes in the walls. The mover told me it had been set up as a model at the yard and had people tromping through it while i waited for them to deliver it. The new manager of the sales office came out to view the home upon my complaints of carpeting not stretched correctly, mud tracks and dirt thru the house .The two halves were not even, one side was four inches higher windows were broken there was water stains along the meeting line doors would not close drains off center with grey sealant sticking to my kids butts when they took a bath. During the walk thru of the house the manager said"I would have never sold you this house" thinking he was speaking of the house condition I asked what it would take to fix all the things he said " No I would have never sold you this house, a single woman with kids this has repossesion written all over it its a waste of my time." It got worse from there they would not respond to my calls to fix things, the toilet in the mb came up off the floor and flooded the bath and laundry room for two days, i fixed it myself.mb has mold under jaccuzzi from leaking pipes as well as main bath and kitchen cabinetry, walls and floors have to be replaced. Laundry room floor has a hole in it with mold stains coming through the linoleum from flooding. windows shattered in frames front and back door were not set right and can see daylight between the frame and the wall.Sprayed ceiling falling down in sheets in all the rooms water stains in most of the rooms because of the roof leaking and the shingles falling off none of which were nailed or even stapled down and when they fell off found out there was no tar paper under them just the decking which started rotting very quickly. The air conditioning was not hooked up until may of 2003 6 months after delivery in Texas, they installed it when i called them to let them know that child protective services was now involved because my 2 yr old had seizures because of heat. I sued went to arbitration and they said they would fix it after the seventy day time limit i had a hole in the wall where a front door used to be the house was releveled by another company found that only one bolt was put in the floor and also found the 220 line for the furnace was spliced with exposed copper wire left hanging in the insulation next to it was a 12 gauge wire for the water heater so hot you could not touch it fuse box had been wired for 10 gauge thicker wire. No work had been done what they started they did not finish;its 2009 four years after filing suit and now we are at breach of contract. This is their top of the line house and it is my embarrassment i stopped having people over and am afraid to have scout meetings or kids friends spend the night because of danger in this home. the finance since I have filed suit my payments have increased by over two hundred dollars. I had another home here before I bought this one the same size but it was the low end of the line of that manufacturer, never had a problem one with that house same size 80 ft doublewide I wanted new and fancy oh yeah my stamp on the house said it was manufactured on 9/23 how is that if i did my first inspection the first sat of september. They never built the house i ordered they found one on another lot and threw in a jacuzzi slapped on the sticker with the wrong date and said here ya go.

The manager was right.   They should have never sold you a home.
