Clean air concepts was callled due to an ad for employment. I was told to come the very same day for an interview, I asked if the job was a contract position and was told no that it was employment for $15 an hour. The next day I was hired and for the next 3 days had to come in for unpaid training.

At the end of training I found out that the job was a contractors position with 100% commission. I had to pay $30 to be bonded and insured and was told to work the rest of Friday, Saturday and Monday until midnight without pay unless a sale was made. Usually on each showing of the product even contractors make $20 per showing, that was not paid to us and we were told it would not start until Tuesday. When the company was told on Saturday that I would not continue my employment with them and would like my $30 back for the bonding and insurance, they refused to refund the money.

During all three days of training the whole training group had asked several times if the job was hourly and a contract job, all three days the group was deceived and told it was hourly and not a contract position.

I feel like I have been lied to from the very beginning, this company has no integrity. I was told to use the defender air purifier and the majestic high filtration surface cleaner (vacuum cleaner) to get familiar with the product although I would most definitely buy the majestic the defender air purifier did not hold up to the standards the company described. If I can't trust this company's integrity I feel I cannot trust their product either, although the mother company is from Health-mor.

My Interview with Clean Air Concepts

AUTHOR: Noteasilyfooled - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 14, 2009

Clean Air Concepts advertised they were looking to hiring for a delivery person, 15.00 an hour. I responded to their advertisement by calling them, and they stated to me over the phone that this was in fact true, they were looking to hire a delivery person. They set me up with an interview the next day, 7/14/2009. I drove over 85 miles one way for the interview with the understanding it was for a delivery job as they stated. When I arrived I was told to fill out paperwork and led to a room full of people also looking for a job. I stated to the interviewer when I arrived that I was there for the delivery job interview, he told me to have a seat with the others and he would get to that in time (pushing me along). Clean Air Concepts deceived me into showing up for a salesman pitch, the interviewer gave a mini seminar about sales and demonstration, there was never any mention of a delivery job, they were looking for demonstraters/salesman. The 15.00 an hour as stated in the advertisement got turned and twisted into a scenario of just possibilities. If you are looking for a job with Clean Air Concepts I would be very careful, I left with the feeling of being tricked and deceived into showing up under false terms. This also made me feel very uncomfortable in putting any trust in the management and possibly the integrity of the product they sell.

If you want to work hard for no pay - this is your company!

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

I had a very similar experience with Clean Air Concepts in Freeland. I attended the group interview, made it through all 3 days of unpaid training and participated in 'family and friends' weekend.
Your work over that weekend was considered 'practice' and you were not paid unless you closed a sale. You had to contact 10 of your own family and friends to give demostrations to. If they didn't buy, you didn't earn anything. I was employed for 6 days and recieved no money for all that time and effort!!
Once you completed your 10 'family and friend practices', you worked off a referral program. The referrals came from your family and friends, not from the company, which was the way it was explained in training. I was never told I worked off of my own referrals! I was never told I had to drum up my own clients!
If none of your referrals set up appointments, you sat at the office all day and didn't get paid for sitting there!! You have to clean your own equipment, daily, and you don't get paid for that either! You have to show up every morning for a meeting, for which you didn't get paid for!
They give you a $5 gas allowance for every house you go to....I had to drive to Remus today!! But supposedly we only work within a 35 mile radius of the office.
Monday's are pay days...good news right? I was expecting a paycheck on the second Monday of employment with Clean Air Concepts. I was informed you do not recieve a paycheck until you have completed 15 demonstrations! That was certainly not mentioned to anyone I was hired with! So, I have been employed with this company for 12 days and have recieved absolutely no money!!!!
This company and its management are just rediculous! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone I know! They are all really great liars and manipulators!! If you go to work to make money, DO NOT work at Clean Air Concepts!!!!
