c**k & Bull Pub Rip-off Warning for your Health & Safety Toronto Ontario

The c**k & Bull pub is possible the worst run bar in north Toronto. Although it has a large appeal to consumers because of it's record crowds and dance floor. It is little more than a "meat market", or place to pick-up men or women.

This bar allows underage drinking, as I have been intoxicated from alcoholic drinks purchased from this bar on many occasions when underage. They do not follow fire regulations and always have more people in the bar and on the patio then their legal limit allows. They do not have enough staff to deal with the pure numbers of patrons and, unlike many other pubs on campus, they allow non-university patrons to be in the bar. They allow line jumping for people who can prove that they are part of the college in which the c**k & Bull is located and York University Sports teams can line jump on specified nights regardless of the amount of people already in the bar.

Violent brawls, stabbings and other forms of abuse are regular on their busy nights (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). The owner, Trevor, can be qouted saying, "Any night I don't have to call the cops is a good night!"

Their cleaning methods are questionable. It is well known that they do not clean their beer lines between kegs and taps. This causes the beer to taste bitter and usually not taste like the beer they indicate it is. The kitchen is a shack outside on the patio which is usually completely open to the outside environment and the food cooked there is usually cold when you receive it.

They have a poor selection of beer on tap and an even worse liqour selection. They allow you to drink far past the point of intoxication.

On a personal note, I have seen or been involved in everything mentioned. This bar causes more problems than it is worth and their practices effect every other establishment on campus.

If you plan to go to York University and plan to enjoy fine spirits or ale avoid this bar and go to a better establishment, like the Grad Lounge or the Absinthe Pub & Coffee Shop. If you want to be abused, beaten, or picked up by some unemployed or stupid slimball go to the c**k & Bull.
