Community Outreach contacted me on Dec 13,2017 to be part of an anti Bullying campaign for the local schools. I thought it was a great idea and signed up and paid them $1,500. I requested the artwork several times that I had paid for and also called the company several times because I never received anything. After many calls I called them to cancel my relationship with their Company Community Outreach. I was told that I would recieve a credit for my $1,500 on Jan 31, 2018.
I never received the credit and called over 15 times to see what the delay was. They told me that my bank had put a red flag on their end to not accept the credit. I immediatley call the bank and they they had never received any credit nor did they put a red flag on my account. After multiple times of getting hung up on and never called back I filed a complaint on March 4,2018 with the Minnesota Attorney Generals office file # MTS/2018/5306843/c. On 3/9/2018 I received an envelope from Community Outreach with 12 regular sheet paper sized cardboard poster which was sent to my home address which my son signed for. This is the worst thing I have ever seen and I had no input on any of the marketing which I was told I would. I think they hurried and sent on the material when they received the letter from the attorney Generals office.
I spoke with the VP of Community Outreach Austin and he told me that they would not give me a refund. I guess this is a lesson learned that a lot of companys are out there making a lot of promises . This is a Anti Bullying campaign that was suppose to go out to the local schools. I was told over 2,000 would be sent to the local school districts #196 in my area. I have called the local school districs and have found nothing.
Some of the things they tell you. Changing the world one good deed at a time! Working together we will make change and provide a better tomorrow!

Community Outreach is an organization that passionately advocates for public safety. Our team is working hand in hand in the community with the help of participating organizations and volunteers. We produce dual sided 8 1/2" X 11" dry erase, magnetized safety boards. The goal of the safety boards is to inspire change within the community by bringing awareness in order to save lives, while providing our well respected sponsors with industry exclusive ad placement.
We employ a team of graphic artists to build each sponsor a full color high resolution advertisement to be displayed on the safety boards. We provide each sponsor with a box of complementary safety board’s. We provide each sponsor with a copy of their individual advertisement via email in JPEG format to do with what they please. In order to provide our sponsors with effective advertising we make every advertisement on each board exclusive for their industry. We distribute thousands of these magnetic safety boards into the community, with the help of participating organizations.
Attached is proof that we worked for the following clients. We have provided proof they signed up voluntarily and wanted to participate in the program. Also proof that we have built them a custom advertisement with the information that they provided and approval from them. And proof that we shipped and they received the magnets from Community Outreach as directly described by the client in the original complaint.
Also The State Attorney’s office reached out to Community Outreach regarding the complaint before this case from the BBB was received. We will also attach the paper work from State of Minnesota to prove we responded accordingly and was found in favor of us the company
Regarding the clients request for a refund we firmly believe that the said client is trying to steal artwork from our company without any proper compensation for the time and effort put into this life saving campaign. We employ a team of graphic artists to build each sponsor a full color high resolution advertisement to be displayed on the safety boards. We provided each sponsor with a box of complementary safety board’s. In order to provide our sponsors with effective advertising we make every advertisement on each board exclusive for their industry. However, communication was impossible from the consumer. So as stated in our invoice if no information is received we will build a custom ad for the said client so distribution can begin as promised.
After a phone call received by Ms. Lisa Stevens Friday afternoon we tried to rectify the situation. However, after being lied to repeatedly by Ms. Lisa Stevens we were unable to come up with a resolution. Ms. Stevens claimed to have never received any magnets from Community Outreach first lie, because Ms. Stevens claimed she received the magnets in the BBB Complaint. Then Ms. Stevens stated she did not know who any of her clients that were corresponding to and from Community Outreach thus making it difficult to get any direct information to build her ad. All information will prove Community Outreach did everything contracted to do by the client willingly and freely.
Sincerely,
Adam Macker, President
