My sister & I hired Companions & Homemakers, they are a home care agency in Connecticut to care for our aging parents who suffer from Alzheimers. We had a variety of caregivers - several had criminal records - turns out NO background check was done! One was a drug user & stole from us to fund her habit! Several times a week no one showed up leaving Mom and Dad alone - Mom fell because she was unsupervised -THEY ARE A HORROR SHOW!! DO NOT HIRE - RUN AWAY!! They overcharged us and we could not get a refund on our credit card, had to file a complaint. We also had several messages go without response when emergencies would arise.......TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT, nasty office staff and unqualified caregivers! I do not know how they stay in business.
