Compassionate Prescriptions compassionateprescriptions.com, CLAIMS to send its' innocent and trusting customers with a CD containing the names of physicians, along with discount coupons, that will allow consumers to obtain legal prescriptions for medications. This is the biggest ripoff I have ever come across. They do not answer questions, and they do not provide the products they describe. Las Vegas Nevada

I am utterly disgusted with "Compassionate Prescriptions." Their website is www.compassionateprescriptions.com. Their claim is that for a $99 annual fee, they will send you a CD containing the names of physicians who are able to write legal scripts for medications (specializing in pain meds). I placed an order with them on or about July 11, and they supposedly shipped my order (which I paid over $350 for, by the way), on July 23.
It is August 2, 2009, and I have not received my order. When I wrote to inquire as to what happened with my order, I was very specific and asked directed questions. I was polite, but firm. They replied back (their "canned response"), that "your tone is neither warranted nor appreciated...order shipped on 7/23." That in no way answered my question, and they will not call you back if you call their toll-free number to try and get a "live" person on the phone.
I am now out $372, which I know I will never get back, and my recommendation to anyone seeking medications for pain is to go to your own physician and have an open and honest discussion about your situation. No good doctor will give a "lifetime supply" of pain medicine...that's not good medicine. My advice...do not do business with this company. They will literally take your money and run..."laughing all the way to the bank."

This sounds liek doctor shopping. Pain meds (that are narcotic) can NOT be sendt i n the mail. You can only get a months supply at a time for any REPUTIBLE doctor
