Cons Call Home Deception terrytown, Louisiana

On 8-17-10 I signed up for service and was told I would receive a phone number within 3 to 5 days.  On 8-31-10 they could not supply a number, nor tell me when I could expect to get one.

On 8-31-10, 15 days later I cancelled the request.  I was told, even though they could not fulfill their obligation of supplying the number in a timely matter, the set up fee of $19.50 would not be refunded.  The refund I would get is the remaining $24.60.  I was told by the rep. that it would take 7 to 10 days and given a confirmation #.  The next call I made they said it would be 4 to 6 wks.  The next 4 or 5 calls I was told they would send another request because it has taken so long.  It is now 11/18 still no refund and I was told they can't do anything because it comes from another dept. and there isn't anyone there that can help me.  They would send another request.   I notice I am not the only person with this same problem.  I don't understand how they can continue to do this.  Just think $19.50 from a number of people and they don't have to provide any service at all.  THAT IS WHAT I CALL A RIP OFF.
