Yesterday, October 17, 2002 between 7:00pm-8:00pm my roommate, LaToyia, received a phone call for me. When she gave me the phone he told me his name was Will. He told me about the sweepstakes of $50,000 and the magazines Vibe, Campus Life, and Jet. I just hung up.

Today, October 18, 2002, I had a phone call around 10:00 am from a woman named Diane, who offered the same sweepstakes of $50,000. In order for me to enter the sweepstakes, I had to purchase 4 magazines that cost $3.85 a week for 48 weeks.

In addition to the 4 magazines she threw in a free women diamond watch. After I talked to her, she transferred my call to the same guy with the same voice named Will, who asked for to validate my credit number. I told him I didn't want the magazines but he kept harassing me. While I was telling him I didn't want it, my roommate heard me refusing to buy.

"I don't want the magazines anymore, I changed my mind," I said.
"What do you mean you changed your mind," he asked. "What, you do want the magazines anymore, why" he asked very agressive again. "I'll throw in an additional magazine," he said. And you'll get the next 12 weeks free;you'll only pay for the first weeks", he added.

"Well, if I take this will I be able to cancel anytime", I asked.
"Yes you can when you get it in yhe mail", he answered.

He told me that he would take the money out now, but I told him not to take it out today. He said that he would take the money out in a month and I said okay.

As soon as I got off the phone I called my bank to check my account and the money was gone. After I found that out, I closed my account.
