Continental Express, Inc. Dba Fast Lane Move Continental Express, also DBA Fast Lane Movers is a SCAM moving company that UNLAWFULLY CHARGES FOR THEIR PACKAGING MATERIALS EVEN AFTER YOU TELL THEM YOU WILL NOT PAY FOR THEM. Fremont California

Continental Express arrived at my home with 3 movers, not the 2 I hired. They did not start loading the truck until approximately 4 hours into the move. Their truck DID NOT HAVE A LOADING RAMP even though they were aware they were moving appliances and many boxes from our house. We called to complain about this fact once we saw that the movers were not even loading boxes into the truck, instead creating a "STAGING AREA" for all the items before starting to load anything into the truck. Both the driver and the supervisor told me it made no difference in the time it took to move things, which simply is not true. My husband and I both WATCHED THEM LOAD EACH ITEM, ONE BY ONE, into the truck because there was no ramp. I estimate that this procedure cost us an unneeded 3-4 hours of work.

They also used the OLDEST MOVING SCAM TACTIC FOR THEIR PACKAGING SUPPLIES even though I explicitly told them I was not paying anything extra for packaging supplies. They wrapped old, used TVs and our appliances with cardboard when I told them not to even wrap other items such as living room furniture in their "free" packing materials.

After at least 4 phone calls to complain throughout the move, and a request to take off the PACKAGING CHARGES, the supervisor at the company gave me a 5% discount on the packaging supplies alone.

I knew that I had to pay for the charges they demanded or they would drive away with my things. This company hopes that people will not follow through with a LAWSUIT but they should be mistaken.

I have hired 3 different licensed moving companies in the last 2 years and none have ripped me off in such a blatant manner. This company CHEATS YOU AND IS DISHONEST AND IS AN UNLAWFUL SCAM.

The moving costs were $866.33. The PACKAGING SUPPLIES WERE $933.75. This company CHEATS AND SCAMS YOU BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT WE ARE STUCK WITH THEM ONCE THEY START THE JOB. This is simply unlawful and they must be held accountable.
