CPA Express Group promises to eliminate your debt, and asks for a hefty fee. This happened a couple years ago, but I just had a newborn, was busy, and was not aware of this site to warn other consumers.

At the time, we searched online, and came across CPA Express Group and called the number that was on the website .The number was 877-MYCPA-55. A man picked up, which we later found out was with a company called American Solutions Inc, (they said they were a dba of CPA Express Group). We actual had a big tax debt that we were making payments on, and they did a quick review and said they would be able to completey eliminate it.

Should have been a red flag when they asked us to wire the full $6,500 fee. I asked to pay with credit card, and they were wary of it. We finally paid $4,000 with credit card, and regretfully wired $1,500. They promised 100% FULL REFUND if they don't eliminate our debt.

They were very communicative in the beginning and shared all the ways and knowledge they had of eliminating tax debt. Once they receive the money, however, no calls were being returned, and they did not pick up the phone-EVER!!!

I found an email for on their website, and asked to speak with the Owner/Manager. Hector, who posed to be the owner finally replied to my emails but never called me. He said he doesn't owe the money, that American Solutions does, who is a whole other company. He had no response when I said I called the 877-MYCPA-55 number which is directly on their site. That they intentionally connected it to American Solutions. He was very unprofessional, and when I called him out on the fraud, he never replied to my emails or returned my numerous phone calls.

I live in CA, so I was not able to track him down and visit his office, or I would have.  I worked with my credit card compnay, which they found acts of fraud, and were able to get my $4,000 credited back to my card. Unfortunatley, I was never able to get my $1,500 back after months and months of attempts to call and email them.

Consumers BEWARE! I'm saddened that there are companies like this that will take advantage of your problems and vulnerability, and put you in a worst situation that you were in. Don't fall prey to this fraudulant company! I hope I'm able to help other people before they are scammed out of thousands of dollars.
