The same Ken Montoya that filed bankruptcy is working for Estate Shutters as their President of Sales and Marketing at the same time is working as the President of Sales and Marketing for Creations Carpet and Blinds of Phoenix. Conflict of interest? How do people like this get away with it. He not only trys to sell to dealers but will come in behind them and sell directly to the public and steal customers with the promise to deliver in 4 weeks. We bought an order from him and we were promised in writing that he would deliver the shutters in 4 weeks or less. Not only did he get it there in 8 WEEKS it was the wrong color and looked like garbage. I don't recommend anyone trust this A-hole

Saying Ken Montoya just "works" for this company is like saying d**k Cheney just "works" for Dubya.
Ken Montoya, formerly an owner of bankrupt Discount Blinds and Shades, formerly an owner of bankrupt Estate Shutters is a local "Window Coverings Con Artist" and he should be in jail. Mr. Montoya has been know (like he did in both of the above mentioned companies) to have some unsuspecting dupe to be the front and eventually the fall guy when he sucks the company dry and leaves customers without product and creditors unpaid.
I would be VERY VERY careful in giving ANYONE that has an association with Ken Montoya any upfront deposit money for blinds or shutters.

What does Ken Montoya do for your company? Why does he tape your fliers in neighborhoods and give quotes for your company? He is the President of Sales and Marketing for Estate Shutters that claims to not sell directly to the public, but when I call your flier's number Ken Montoya is more than willing to come out and give me a quote. No business owner in their right mind would hire someone with his kind of baggage to represent their company unless some kind of backdoor deal was going on. Also, did you know that it is illegal to use builder keys without permission to enter homes that are not yet occupied? Of course you do, but breaking and entering doesn't bother you or Ken right? So....enlighten us as to why Ken Montoya sells your products while also working as President of sales for Estate Shutters?

As the owner of Creation Carpets and Blinds of Phoenix, I would like to state that Ken is not President of Sales and Marketing for our business. However, we do have a working relationship with him. This report insinuated that Creation Carpets and Blinds of Phoenix and Estate Shutters are the same business, they are not. Creation Carpets and Blinds of Phoenix and Estate Shutters are two different companies owned by two different people.
The person who has made this complaint has never been a customer of Creation Carpets and Blinds of Phoenix. Making accusations that we do not perform our business in a professional manner(i.e., delivering product late and wrong color) when this person has never been a customer is slanderous and irresponsible.
We are a family owned and operated business and we take pride in what we do. We maintain a spotless record with the Better Business Bureau and with the Registrar of Contractors.
We are sorry that you had a bad experience, but don't take it out on a company that you have never done business with.
