CreditUpdates Just looking for an apartment to move to and this happened! Walnut California

I had seen an ad on Craigslist for an apartment in McDonough that was in the price range my husband and I could afford so I contacted who I thought was the owner and got this email back:

Hello Phae,

Thank you for your interest in the property listed for rent. You were the first to email from the ad. The owner just finished all new renovations and is now ready to lease with flexible terms. The owner will work together with you on move in date, lease security deposit and length. 

I understand you want the precise address of the property but the owner advised us not to disclose the address before you are qualified. The owner has had a string of break ins, squatters and thefts at their other properties. We want to prevent that with this property because of the renovations that have cost a great deal of money. You may be the first to move in with the renovations. 

All utilities are priced into the lease along with two garage parking spaces. The appliances in the kitchen as well as laundry room were only just installed. You are able to pick your paint colour and flooring before your arrival.
