Self-described as a "trave club", they called you and told you they offered a FREE 7 day crusie.  After the 90 minutes presentation about all the money you will save by signing up for their services for $9,000.  After you refused, they gave you your so called FREE gifts.  Actually nothing is Free, in fact they are very expensive and that is how they can cheat people's money by those so called FREE gifts!  They gave me a pamphlet and voucher to redeem my FREE crusie from Sunrise Travel, bsed in Ft lauderdale, FL.  They said that they have no relationship with Sunrise Travel which is a big lie.  I have paid Sunrise Travel $198 (for two people) by a money order and sent out the voucher by regristation mail on 6/1/2013 as they required.  Then I received a form from them to ask me to put in 3 sailing days for the cursie.  I didn't know what date was availble so I called them.  After I called a few times finally somebody called Peter helped me to fill out the form and he gave me 3 travel dates that he said they were good to go dates.  I sent the form back to Sunrise Travel.  I waited a long time and called many, many times.  They didn't return my calls nor sent me any letter.

Finally I wrote a letter to Crystal Travel and Sunrise Travel at the end of January 2014 and told them I would take legal action against them if I didn't recieve a respond.  Within a couple of weeks, on Feb 14, 2014 I received a letter from Sunrise Travel which said they have forefited my $198 (they called it processing fee) because one of the travel date I have selected was closed to a holiday.  That's totally ridiculous.  Because they have never informed me anything about that.  Moreover, those dates were selected by their so called travel consultant.  I caled them and left a message.  A woman called Mary returned my call the next day.  She said she's the manager and I told her those dates were selected by their travel consultant Peter.  She said if that's their mistake she would investigate it.  That called was in Feburage and now is June.    Since that call I have never heard anything from Mary, the cheater again!  I tried to call them many times and as usaul nobody would pick up the phone!

I believe Crystal Travel (Sunrise Travel) used this kind of scam to cheat people's money in the past few years.  A lot of people have loss their processing fees.  I am glad that I didn't pay them $300 to get a round trip ticket and 2 nights hotel which the manger of Crystal Travel asked me to do so.

I am going to take legal action aginst Crystal Travel soon if they didn't refund my money and seek for compensation of the 7 days FREE Caribean curise they have promised me!

What is Rescinding a timeshare?

AUTHOR: VickyF - ()

POSTED: Thursday, June 12, 2014

What is Rescinding a timeshare? Rescinding a timeshare is a legal way to cancel a timeshare contract, sometimes with the possibility to get your money back and usually within a certain number of days, this depending on the place where you purchased the timeshare. In Mexico, there is a 5 day cancellation period, and even though some timeshare salespeople might ask you to sign away your right to cancel during the sales presentation, you still have the legal right to rescind.
