I had been using this company for several years as my DSl provider. I was on a month to month charge of $49.95 per month.
Recently, I called to cancel and was informed that there was a $250 cancellation fee. When I asked why, since I was on a month to month, they replied that they had sent a POSTCARD to me in Feb, 2006 stating that they were changing the agreement, and that if I didn't agree, I had to cancel immediately, otherwise, I would go on a yearly contract. I NEVER received this postcard, nor did I ever AGREE to this contract. And I NEVER signed anything. I informed them that the DID NOT have authorization to charge my credit card for ANYTHING>
They then proceeded to charge my credit card for the next month, then cancelled my account and charged my credit card for the $250 cancellation fee!
These guys are absolutely sleazy - stay away!
