Dahl Ford Service Department ripoff Dishonest Service Department. BEWARE Davenport Iowa

On 8/20/2004 I took my beautiful 1994 Ford Mustang GT in for a problem. I dropped it off at 8:00am leaving under the impression it was going to be checked asap. Later on that day, 2:00pm I called and spoke to the service department and was told my car was just now being taken out for a test drive to see the problem.

At 3:30pm that same afternoon, I was helping my brother pack his items together for a trip into his car when out of nowhere my car goes buzzing by our house. WOW!! Now my car has some modified work done on it and it is a very unique one of a kind car, so there is no mistaking it when you see it. The "mechanic" was cruising down the road in it, no knowing he went right in front of my house, above the speed limit, looking like he was having a great time. Now what test drive takes over an hour and a half??? I have no clue.

So I finished assisting my brother with his things and got a call from Dahl Ford service, Dawn. I was told the mechanic drove it and found that they needed to do more testing to determine a problem. They believed it was the trans, though I told them when I dropped the car off it was not the trans, but they spent all day on it to find no problem. What a waiste of time. Now Dawn, told me they would be able to continue work come Monday, so they would leave the car parked in their garage over the weekend. I asked if they were going to really leave it in the garage, otherwise I would come and get it so its in my garage. This car is my pride and joy so understand why I want it taken care of. Friday night comes and goes and I drove by in my other car and saw my car sitting outside. Ticked off I was, Come Saturday night the car is still sitting outside, and since the place is closed on Sundays it will once again be sitting outside. Now, its one thing for the car to be sitting out, but to be bold face lied to is another thing. Why in the heck would I trust a company to work on my car that lies to me about parking my car in their garage????

Monday I will go and take my car elsewhere. I refuse to do business with dishonest people!
Bottom line: Stay as far away from Dahl Ford as possible. They are scum!
