My husband and I bought a home in March 2013 that came with a supposed new roof from Darren's Waterproofing and Construction.  The roof came with a five-year warranty and was inspected by a professional home inspector prior to our purchase.

In January 2014 we received a substantial amount of snow and freezing temperatures.  We believed those were the causes of why we were seeing interior water damage.  At first we blamed the weather for why our roof was causing interior home damages in pretty much every room of your home. 

We contacted Darren and he did show up at your house.  He stated that due to the snow he could not get up on the roof but that the weather this season was unusual and since insurance was covering the interior damage, eveyrthing would be okay.  He also offered to pay our $1,000 insurance deductible at this time which my husband and I thought was extremely odd.

When interior construction began, we realized that it was not the weather that caused or interior damage in most areas of our home, it was faulty workmanship.  Our kitchen had been leaking for years and this area grew mold and had extensive wood rot.  Our insurance company will not mold remediation nor wood rot.  I have an infant at home and had to move out of our home because of this black mold. 

After having the roof examined by multiple professional roofers one things is clear--Darren is a fraud who has no idea how to install a roof.  It turns out he is neither licensed nor bonded in my town and legally should have never been on the roof.  He failed to install the roof properly in over 8 areas and did not install ice/water shield, which is State Code in Indiana.

Once we learned of this poor workmanship, we called Darren over 20 times.  He has made appointment after appointment with us and each time has failed to show up and honor his warrany.  He will not even communicate with us via phone but chooses to only text us.  He has stated that he stands behind his work and that conveniently, he is now out of business.  What a fraud!  Actually, Darren only contacted me back after I posted my compliant on his Facebook Page.

This man has several businesses.  All of his businesses have the letter of "F" on the BBB website.  I have filed a compliant with the State Attorney for his fraudulent practices.  It seems that when confronted with his poor workmanship, he closes up shop and creates a new business.  He is a complete fraud.  Please do not be scammed by this man.
