This Report is posted for Fraud Prevention Awareness pertaining to HONEYWELL Email Fraud Scam. I received an Email on, Sun Jul 27 01:30:56 2008, from Dave Cote, Chairman and CEO of Honeywell International Inc. 101 Columbia Road, Morristown, NJ 07962, with the subject:
Work from your home (Part/full time) Position Open
The job offered stated that I would get payment for items sold by Honeywell to its vendors then I would use my own bank to cash/deposit them. Once the funds are available. I were to keep 10% and wire the remaining 90% to two other individuals in equal share.
Once I received the first check, for 4800.00. I took it to my local bank were I was told it was fake and illegal.
They mentioned to me its been going on for quite some time and that they had received numerous checks similar to mine lately.
Checks come over night via UPS.
