David Small - Custom Concept Chrome - Canadian Classic Custom Concept Thieves, liars, empty promises, you might never see your property again, still trying to get it back! Orillia Ontario

In early January 2008 we went to the superbike motorcycle show in Toronto and met David Small and his company, under various names (Custom Chrome Concept) and paid to have a part of our motorcycle chromed (a show special price!). We dropped the part off the next working day, and now we cant' get it back!!!

He's a thief and a liar. Don't be fooled by him being at a show, we found out the hard way that it doesn't mean that the show was able to check him out. We've tried calling him, on the rare occasion that he did call back he always called our home number and left a message (knowing we wouldn't be home). He refuses to call our cell numbers (because that way we'll answer). He always says, call to arrange pick-up, but you can't reach him! We even left him a message to drop the part off at my wife's office on February 28 (5 minutes from his shop) and on his message he said he would, but he never showed up, but had the nerve to call and leave us another message saying that they tried to deliver it. That's another lie. My wife never left the office all day!

He's just full of excuses, and that's what he does, he strings you along, and you never get the part back, or your money. We've now involved the police, and have found out we are not alone - he is well known to them. I see from another report, Brad from Oshawa, that he and the police were actually at his place on February 28th. We've been calling daily (many times) and emailing and never get a response. Yesterday, March 1st someone actually answered the cell #345-2147 (it sure sounded like Dave) but the guy said he was his nephew, John in Timmins, claiming that Dave must have forwarded the calls to him. Oddly enough, when we asked him what his last name was, he hesitated, and wouldn't you know it, used our last name - not too quick! The next time we called, it was back to the usually machine.

We've been at this for almost 2 months now! As of Friday, Feb.29th Dave left us a message saying that we can pick the part up from Tues-Fri between 10-5 (when his shop is supposedly open). So we'll be trying Tuesday, Mar.4th - but we'll be surprised if he's even there, or if we get our parts. But we are not giving up, we are going to do everything we can, even if we never see our part again.
