D.C.S. DIVERSIFIED COLLECTION SERVICES, INC. DCS Inc Threatened to seize my checking account funds for VA back taxes not owed Internet

On Feb 6th, I received a call from Jesse Patlan of DCS Inc claiming I owe VA State back taxes of $666.14 from 1998! I told him I did not recall owing such and was sure I would have addressed it years ago if I had. He told me if I did not pay half the amount today, they would freeze my checking account and take the necessary funds. I told him I would not give him my account number and he said they would do so with my Social Security number. I told him if I did indeed owe the money, I would pay the bill.

On Feb 10th, again Jesse Patlan calls me to get my checking information for payment. I told him I had researched and found I owe no back taxes and would only pay once I received documentation verifying I owed the bill. He stated that VA state had mailed that to me and that if I did not pay today, they would seize the funds from my checking account immediately. He said they do not have to prove I owe the bill, that I had to prove that I didn't. I told him I would be reporting them to the State Attorney General offices and once again he told me "Pay today or we are freezing your checking account and taking the money owed".

I called the VA State Dept of Taxation and it was confirmed that I DO NOT OWE ANY TAXES to them! I was assured they would contact DCS and inform them that I have a 0 balance with the State of Virginia. He told me they were "snakes" and to tell them such if they tried to call again.

I have filed complaints with the FTC, VA State Attorney General and will continue the same for NY and CA. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR TACTICS!
