When we first started our business in 2007, we were looking for a copier with multiple capabilities and shopped around for a bit to find the best deal. We found a dealer in Norfolk called AMERICAN OFFICE SYSTEMS and they sold us a KONICA BIZHUB 250. They said it would do what we wanted. Our leasing was thru DELAGE LANDEN. We were instantly approved.
Well, ever since the first day we got the copier, it did not work correctly. We had constant problems and even told the company we wanted to return the copier a few times and they just sent someone out to replace parts or fix it. However, we it was not functional for 3 months and we were charged for it anyways, and continued to pay for it regardless of the numerous complaints on the machine.
After a while, we would just be late on the payments because we refused to pay until the machine was fixed. It was never fixed. Last year, our lease was up, and I wrote a letter to tell them we did not intend to renew the lease and for them to take the copier back. Instead of doing this, they told us that the machine could not be resold so they charged us what THEIR estimated value was on the copier. Their amount was 5824.31. On top of the 258.00 we had been paying for the past three years. I was really pissed and argued this matter when I called them but instead, they sent us to a collections company and ruined my credit in doing so.
I have looked up the value of the Konica Bizhub 250 and online new it was around $2500.00!!!! They totally took me for my money and I want everyone to know what thieves they are and not be RIPPED OFF BY THEM. I have tried to sell this copier and no one wants it because they know it is a crappy copier. ALSO, that company that sold the lease to me, AMERICAN OFFICE SYSTEMS. is now OUT OF BUSINESS.
I really don't understand how this company is in business still and if there is a class action lawsuit against them I would want to join.
BUT THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL SMALL BUSINESSES, DO NOT GO THRU THESE ASSHOLES FOR A LEASE OR ANY KIND OF FINANCIAL MATTERS. THEY ARE SHADY AND SHOULD ALL GO TO JAIL!

I understand your plight. I too leased a copier from Konica Minolta in 2007 and my lease in now ending. I have had nothing but problems with the leasing company De Lage Landen. I finally got the end of lease payment invoice.
To start they have been charging me the wrong tax rate for 3 years and even after being told 2 years ago they never corrected it. Their accounting process is so screwed up no auditor can figure out how they arrive at their end of lease charges. When you ask them to explain how they arrive at the end number they tell you they do not have to figure it out and you have to send them proof of all your payments for the term of the lease. This is their email:
"you are contesting charges owed on your account. we cannot reconcile an account if you, as the customer, does not provide the account history of payments sent in. contesting charges owed on an account would require a history of payments sent in by the lessee with the invoice number they were intended to pay. your company has not provided this information so informing my company what amount you are going to pay, will not facilitate the reconcilliation of the account, if one needs to be done.?
It is difficult to deal with a person with a 3rd grade education as it seems the account representatives at De Lage Landen have.
They will not explain the end charges and the spreadsheet they send makes no sense at all.
This is part of their business plan to hold you hostage as they will not give you the return shipping destination to return the copier until you pay the arbitrary amount they demand.
I would suggest not leasing a copier from Konica Minolta as they make very poor decisions when it comes to the company they choose for their lease management.
De Lage Landen Financial Services is the worst.
