Democracy Resource MI-Legalize Signature Campaign Rips workers off!! $12/hr is a SCAM! NEVER PAYS WORKERS! Metro Detroit Michigan

Passes out flyers asking for canvassers who would like to make $12/hr collecting signatures for the MI-Legalize campaign.

You spend hours and hours collecting signatures for what you think is a job paying $12/hr only to find out that you're being scammed. Democracy Resources takes your signatures and submits them to MI-Legalize. MI Legalize pays Democracy Resources for the signatures collected, but Democracy Resources NEVER plans on paying you ANYTHING!

I hold both Democracy Resources responsible, as well as MI-Legalize because they are rewarding the SCAMMERS with paychecks for sheets of signatures they did not collect. As a canvasser you sign your name at the bottom of each sheet of signatures you collect. So I'm assuming either Democracy Resources is being paid by MI-Legalize in the name of their Directors at Democracy Resources or MI Legalize is giving Democracy Resources checks in the name of the victimized canvassers and then Democracy Resources takes the identity of victimized canvasser to cash the check. Either way MI-Legalize should not be involved with a group scammers canvassers for signatures.

Also collects your information as any employer would, asking for name, social security, address, birthdate, etc for tax purposes. So this may be how they funnel your money back to themselves becasue they have all of your information to open a new bank account online, some of whom don't ask for a picture id to open an account as long as you have your name, soc, date of birth, and address.

I contacted MI-Legalize and they knew exactly the person who hired me from Democracy Resources and told me to take the matter up with them. I've called Democracy Resources now for two weeks with NO ANSWER. However, MI Legalize should address the fact that they've benefited from the gathering of signatures by a SCAM.

BE AWARE of the $12/hr and $14/hr canvasser jobs! IT'S a SCAM!!!
