Desert Dove Contracting, Failure to pay subcontractors, deceiving homeowners Cave Creek Arizona
*UPDATE EX-employee responds: Disregard this claim
Subcontractors and homeowners beware. Desert Dove Contracting advertises on homeprojectpros.com, quotecity.com, craigslist.com etc in an effort to deceive hard working people. They advertise experience in ALL TRADES, simply subcontract thru soliciting on craigslist.com, claim unacceptable work and keep the clients funding. They are licensed only 6 months and are being investigated by the Registrar of Contractors. Watch out for this mom & pop company's attempts to swindle the public

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds
Disregard this claim
AUTHOR: Veronica - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Friday, January 13, 2012
Desert Dove Contracting was an Arizona Corporation with a board of directors and investors. The company functioned as a corporation under the guidance of the directors and investors, and held a KB-02 Residential and Small Commercial General Contractors license.
In Arizona, legislation is clear regarding the trades in a construction project that are permitted to be performed by the general contractor's crews and legislation is clear regarding the trades that must be subcontracted by law. The legislation does not require that any trades are performed by the general contracting company itself. All general contracting projects include a variety of subcontractors.
If, and when, any work by a subcontractor is unacceptable it is also required by law that the general contractor on the project address this issue as the party who is ultimately responsible for overseeing and managing the project. Unacceptable work by a subcontractor has no relationship to the client's investment in the project, as the cost to resolve the issue ultimately falls to the general contractor.
The Registrar of Contractors has an obligation to investigate all complaints, and to make recommendations of resolutions that may favor the complainant or the contracting company. This is not rare in this industry.
Please disregard these claims.
