Diamond Buyers Inc represents themselves as an online diamond/jewelry buyer. I was contacted concerning a diamond ring I wanted to sell. Brian Fishel gave me an quote for the diamond over the phone. He would then send a prepaid fully insured envelope for me to send him the ring. He said he would evaluate the ring upon receipt for a final quote. If I was happy with the quote, he promised to wire me the money the next day. If I was not happy with the quote, he would return the ring fully insured.
My ring arrived at his location on 2/10/06 and was signed for by someone in the mail room. Since then, I have not heard from Mr. Fishel. I have tried to call probably several hundred times (literally), and have not been able to reach him.
I'm assuming my diamond has been stolen. Since, I have filed a complaint with the BBB and the FBI's online fraud division.

Did a google search on brian. His resume pops up as a web designer, complete with a picture. He claims a BA from american intercontintental university(anticipated date of graduation sept 05), an internet u that has many posts about it on this site. He claims an associates from ITT Tech Institue. Another institue that has many complaints on this site. On his relevant work history,"concurrent with ed" Diamond Buyers Ins. ; internet jewelery sales, then goes on to include that he developed their corporate logo, logo design and increased their web traffic. Lists a telephone # of 832.607.6799. Haven't been able to run down Diamond Buyer's Inc., yet.

I sold him a rolex watch. He had it for a year. He bought it to play golf in and found out it was too heavy. Only wore it a few times. I tell him I'll sell it for him for 5%. $4200-$4000, to him. I have it for a week. After a week, he comes in and tells me he's gonna sell it "on the internet". I tell him "Don't do it". He takes the watch home with him. Three months later I get a call from a detective. The stupid SOB got contacted on the internet. They sent him a "cashier's check" drawn on a major New York bank. The dimwit sends them the watch. BOGUS CASHIER'S CHECK.(Remember my posts about cashier's checks) Jennifer, I know some diamond people in Houston, on Westheimer. There about a zillion of them over there. I'll call around on Monday and see if I can find anything out. If I do, I'll get your info from the Ed. and pass it on. I was told the FBI isn't interested unless it's over $100,000, at least. You may have better luck with the postal inspectors, mail fraud, IF you sent it via the usps.
