Diamond-Kote Rust Warranty Nationwide

I got a 10 year rustproofing warranty from Diamond-Kote that was sold through a Canadian Honda dealer when I bought a two year old Accord.   The warranty was for rust perforation from the inside out. 

Six year later I had rust bubbles on the front edge of my hood and went to the dealer but was told that Diamond-Kote would not cover the claim unless there was evidence of a perforation.  It took another two years for the rust to perforate my hood and when the claim was submitted I got a response back from Diamond-Kote that the rust was so advanced that they could not determine whether the rust came through from the inside or was from the outside in, so my claim was rejected.

In my opinion, this is a catch 22 scheme to avoid paying a claim as it would apply to any perforation.  The dealer's certified technician's opinion was that the rust was from the inside out and this is obvious to anyone who would look at the inside of the hood.  The dealer no longer does business with Diamond-Kote.  Buyer beware!
