I was searching for a digital camera. Everyprice.com offered different sites with different prices, and digitalexpo.com was the lowest by far.

I placed my order on their website for my camera, and they sent me an email with a phone# I had to call to confirm my order. When I called, the "salesman" immediately started with the pitch..."I see you didn't purchase the memory card, extended life batery, etc." He then became very aggressive with fast talk and rediculously overpiced accessories. He had told me the items on the camera are not sufficient enough, and these needed to be purchased.

After I refused several times, I told him I just want the camera. He then proceeded to tell me that the camera I was purchasing was refurbished, and a new camera was $90 more. I replied by asking him why there's NO indication of this on their website at all, and he said: "Well, what did you think you were getting for that price?"

The sales rep got very rude from this point in. He offered to give me a new camera for the same price if I buy the $90 battery. I asked him how I would be assured that the camera I get is new considering the misleading info up to that point. He was clearly upset at that point, told me I was wasting his time, and said he'll cancel the order.

I went back online to see if this had happened to anyone else, and I found tons of the same experiences with other consumers. Some resulting in fraudulent charges to their credit cards after they canceled their order.
I immediately went to my bank to cancel the card so that it doesn't get that far in my situation. Be VERY AWARE when buying extreme discount items online like this as I found there are many other companies who have the same M.O.
