Unfortunally, I also was a victim of this fraudulant company in 2004. They still have my 1st and last month payment totaling $9702.00. I called the Department of Corporations in California in 2004 - Guess what - THEY DO NOT HOLD A LISCENSE to operate as a finance company. Yes, they are registered with the Secretary of the State in CA, but not liscensed!
I filed a complaint with the Department of Corporations, it states:
We have received your complaint regarding your transaction with the above named company.
The Department of Corporations does not liscense this company. We are, therefore, forwarding your complaint to the governmental agency listed below:
Attorney General's Office
Public Inquiry Unit
P.O. Box 944255
Sacramento, CA 94244-2550
Recently, I got a fax from Discount Capital. I guess they're trying to drum up some more fraudulant business! I called the Department of Corporations and they STILL DO NOT HAVE A LISCENSE!
I called Patti Randolph and asked her to fax me a copy of their liscense. She faxed a copy of the filing with the SOS. I called her back to inform her that a SOS filing is not a liscense. She got all hot and stumped, she had no idea what to say other than I would have to talk to Jim Hagan to get that information. Hey Jim, still waiting for that call!
Word of advise - PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY-
Call the Department of Corporations (866) 275-2677 to inquire about this company before doing ANY business with them!

I am one of the people who were scammed by Jim Hagen and his Discount Capital Corp. I came across the Ripoff Report web site by accident and note that there are several with issues similar to mine.
I engaged an Attorney who is pursing the issue as a civil matter. I am not optimistic that will result in anything positive but the Attorney has taken the case on a contingent basis so I did not have to spend more money to start the process.
I also contacted the Attorney General in my state. That office is making efforts to communicate with
I started in my state and was eventually connected with a Secret Service Agency office in
The contact information is:

I have no idea if anything will develop from this. The Agent did tell me that the felony threshold for matters like this is $100,000 (cumulative). Statute of limitations depends on what the US Attorney decides to charge the offender with. It could be anywhere from to 5 years. I currently see five reports on the Ripoff site that total over $74,000. I expect there are others who have been scammed and were not aware of this web site so do not show up here. If others can be identified $100,000 total seems reasonable.
I suggest (request) that you contact the Secret Service and inform them of your complaint against
If you have knowledge of any others who have been robbed, I suggest that you encourage them to become involved as well.
I dont know if the site allows me to identify my contact info. If it is allowed my address is: (((Redacted)))
Good luck
