DON'T purchase from this website. The owner, Elizabeth Mandrino, is rude, abrasive and a con-artist. This company stole my money without giving me a dog and even out rightly refused to return the money when their sales rep PROMISED to do so (which I recorded)!
They sent me rude emails and Elizabeth was especially derogatory towards me. I forwarded all those emails to several news agencies. They are located in Fairfield, NJ and I filed a complaint and pressed charges with both the Attorney General's office and the District Attorney's office in New Jersey, where they're located - (http://www.nj.gov/lps/phone.htm).
This woman makes money by fooling people. She puts fake ads on her website about how celebrities buy her dogs. There are many other dog websites that celebrities have bought from. Divapup is no more special. Don't buy into the HYPE.
I also filed a complaint with Fox 5 News in New York, who she claims represented her company on their show. I am filing several more complaints. [Update: Since I informed Fox 5 News, Divapups has taken down their fake ad using Fox 5 News New York's logo on her website. They had also read the deragatory emails her company sent me. What professional is dumb enough to do that? Such a bad representation of the company. Who does she think she is?]
By the way, her dogs are double or triple priced than should be. I use to support breeder networks, but after having such a bad experience with this company as well as another breeder company (particularly the owners WHO TURNED FROM NICE TO PSYCHO MAD, especially when it comes to money), I am now recruiting celebrities and activists to advertise the negative aspect of breeder networks.
Read informative websites that warn you about breeders. I know you really want a pet or particular breed and have no idea about the negative aspects of breeder networks or choose to ignore it, like I did, but be aware that if you continue to purchase from them, you're ONLY giving THEM money, not the dogs. That's why they're TRIPLE priced. Don't be naive. Be cautious. And if you don't care, then you'll pay for it later.
Even my lawyer was shocked to hear the prices. He looked at me dumbfoundedly. And anyone should be dumbfounded. Why would someone do that? Why would you purchase a puppy triple or quadruple the price? It's not necessary and it's unfair. It's a shame.
You're not helping animals or the people who go to great lengths to breed them. Simply because they've been "approved" by kennel clubs and are SUPPOSEDLY not from breeder mills (LIARS!), doesn't mean it's okay to purchase them. They're trying to make you feel better or less guilty about purchasing from them. They will try anything to reel you in (hence, the celebrity ads).
I think people who purchase form "trustworthy" breeder networks are desperate to get the kind of dog they want and think it's easier. But please REALIZE it's not the right thing to do. You're doing the wrong thing, especially to animals, and your pocket. Simply, because you have not had a bad experience, does not mean others haven't and that there's nothing wrong with this. There are bad things going on, despite their constant advertising that there's nothing wrong with this. But please read up. There is.
These breeder network owners are very aggressive and will do ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING, to protect their companies. They LIE constantly. They are NOT trustworthy.
THEY CAN STEAL MY MONEY. BUT I WILL USE MY FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
No matter what they do, it will just bring more negative and national attention to this.

I was planning on buying a puppy through the divapups website, but decided not to purchase a puppy (due to other reasons). I'm glad you are speaking out about the divapups/dog business.
No wonder the prices were extremely high, TOO HIGH. And yes, I ALMOST fell for the celebrity ads also.
Thank you for sharing your experience and other information related to Elizabeth and their divapups business. I hope others read what has happened, before thinking of buying a puppy from their business.

Sorry, error there. Not Detroit. I meant to type that Delaware is one of their home states - the main one, I think. Then they have another office in Utah. And since they're associated with Morgan Stanley, include the home state of Morgan Stanley as well. I don't think Discover has one in Detroit, but you could check.

I USED DISCOVER CARD TO MAKE A DOWN PAYMENT FOR THE PUPPY THAT I WANTED. AFTER I TRIED FOR MANY MONTHS (FROM AUGUST '05) TO GET DISCOVER CARD TO RETURN THE DOWN PAYMENT (OVER $633) TO MY CARD THAT WAS STOLEN BY EMMA ROSES DIVA PUPS, DISCOVER CARD REFUSED! THEY SAID THAT I HAD BEEN AWARE OF DIVA PUP'S 24 HOUR POLICY OF NO RETURNS AND THAT I COULDN'T GET IT BACK. IDIOTS! THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THE 24 HOUR POLICY IS TO GET THE DOWN PAYMENT BACK IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS! I COULD NOT GET THE PUPPY THAT I INTENDED ON GETTING BECAUSE THERE WERE MEDICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE DOG (AFTER THEY ADVERTISED THAT ALL THEIR DOGS WERE MEDICALLY CHECKED). SINCE THAT WAS THE ONLY DOG I WANTED, I EXPECTED NO OTHER DOG AND WANTED MY MONEY BACK. THEY WERE TRYING TO SELL ME A MORE EXPENSIVE DOG AFTERWARDS, BUT I REFUSED. I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING FISHY ABOUT THIS, BUT I HAD PURCHASED TWO BEAUTIFUL DOGS BEFORE (WHO WERE SICK WITH PNEUMONIA AND I HAD TO PAY OVER $600 IN VET FEES AND ATLEAST A MONTH OR MORE OF NO SLEEP TAKING CARE OF THEM) AND DIDN'T EXPECT A PROBLEM LIKE THIS OF ALL THINGS TO OCCUR.
DISOCVER CARD'S DISPUTE DEPARTMENT AND CHARGEBACK DEPARTMENTS ARE FILLED WITH IDIOTS WHO NEED TO BE TRAINED DIFFERENTLY. WHAT A BUNCH OF A-HOLES!
EVEN AFTER PROVIDING TO DISCOVER CARD (MORGAN STANLEY) THE EMAIL BY ONE OF THEIR CON ARTIST SALES REPS: MARK DEMYAN, WHICH STATED THAT MY MONEY WOULD BE RETURNED AND AFTER EXPLAINING WHAT THE HELL THE 24 HOUR POLICY WAS FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE, DISCOVER STILL WON'T RETURN IT.
AND DISCOVER CARD (MORGAN STANLEY) KEPT GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND FOR MONTHS.
THE ONLY REASON DISCOVER CARD (MORGAN STANLEY) WON'T RETURN THE MONEY IS BECAUSE EMMA ROSES DIVA PUPS IS A MILLION DOLLAR CLIENT OF THEIRS. ANY WEBSITE BUSINESS CAN MAKE A MILLION DOLLARS EASY, ESPECIALLY IF THEY'RE SELLING WHAT THE COUNTRY LIKES MOST... PUPPIES! PUPPIES ARE AN ADVERTISEMENT ON THEIR OWN.
THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF HAVING A CREDIT CARD IS SO THAT FRAUDS LIKE THIS WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF. I, AS WELL AS, RELATIVES, NEIGHBORS, CO-WORKERS, AND FRIENDS WILL BE FILING COMPLAINTS WITH THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICES IN UTAH AND DETROIT (2 OF THE HOMES STATES OF DISCOVER CARD) AS WELL AS THE HOME STATE OF MORGAN STANLEY (PROBABLY NEW YORK).
THESE BASTARDS STOLE MY MONEY. THEY EVEN TOLD ME THEY KNEW THAT THE DIVA PUPS OWNER WAS A CON ARTIST. I'LL SHOW YOU ADVERTISEMENT. DISCOVER CARD JUST WON A BAD REPUTATION. IS THIS WHAT THEY WANT? WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THESE ANTI-SOCIAL BANKS ANYWAY? MONEY GREEDY HEATHENS.
I AM FILING REPORTS WITH EVERY NEWS AGENCY REGARDING THIS MATTER. I WILL MAKE A PUBLIC ADVERTISEMENT OF THIS. DISCOVER CARD ASKED FOR A PUBLIC REPUTATION OF BEING LIARS. THEY JUST GOT THEMSELVES IN HOT WATER.
THAT MEANS DISCOVER CARD CARES MORE ABOUT THEIR MILLION DOLLAR CLIENTS THAN THEIR 'SMALL-TIME' CUSTOMERS. BASTARDS. I'LL SHOW THEM WHAT A MILLION DOLLARS MEANS.... THEY HAVE NO IDEA.
I'VE NOW CLOSED MY ACCOUNT WITH THEM. AND I DON'T TRUST CREDIT CARD COMPANIES ANYMORE. THERE'S NO WAY I'M GOING TO MAKE FUTURE PAYMENTS WITH THEM, INCLUDING A MORTGAGE AND WHAT HAVE YOU. HOPEFULLY, DIVA PUPS WILL CLOSE DOWN AND LOSE BUSINESS AND THAT'LL SHOW DISCOVER CARD WHAT A BUSINESS MISTAKE THEY MADE.

If only people did research BEFORE spending outrageous amounts of money on these puppy mill mutts.
