Even though you specifically tell the agent you don't want any insurance, and the agent acknowledges it, asks you again, and you say no... he or she will trick you to initial one final paper at the end that is for insurance coverage.

He makes you sign a bunch of stuff on the card reader, he explains everything you sign. Nothing about insurance. He then gives you one final paper and tells you he just needs you to initial the two parts and sign the bottom. You assume it's paperwork to get the car, you don't think its about the insurance, he doesn't tell you anything, he never mentions its optional, he just says initial here even though you told him you didn't want insurance.

Once you get billed you find out you got billed extra money, and find out you are charged ldw1 and other optional insurance. You research this on the web and find out there are tons of complaints out there for the same thing. Dollar knows this, they must tell their employees to do this as this happens in a lot of locations judging from the web reports.

Even though you tell the agent you don't want insurance, they knowingly trick you and basically lie to you about getting you to initial that last paper. They never mention anything. You trust them that you already told them 'no', and them telling you you need to sign is a lie because you don't need to sign that.

I have to be honest that I overlooked this while initialling as I'm sure dollar expects, thats why they do it. Even if read I'm pretty sure it would say something like ldw1, which you would have no idea what it is until you research on the web.
