Noticed a charge on my MasterCard when I downloaded transactions this morning (2/9/08). A charge of 64.95 was posted by a company with the id of "DRI WWW ELEMENT5 INFO". This was NOT a charge that I made. So, I googled the name and came across this "Ripoff" article.
I've already called MasterCard, filed a dispute and canceled the Card.

I was pissed when I saw that show up on my card as well. If you go to that site put in your email and the last 4 digits of your card it will show you what the purchase was. I was extremely surprised to find out that mine was from Palm. I purchased software for my Treo on their site, and I guess this company handles their billing. Seems weird a company as big as palm would use a third party, but sure enough.
It sure would cut down on confusion if the companies that you made the purchase with told you that the billing would show Element 5 . Info, Cologne DE

I purchased some anti virus software from the Kaspersky website and they used this company for the billing. I only came across this ripoff report website because I saw the company name on my credit card bill and couldn't think what it had come from.
When I paid for the AV software I received a confirmation email telling me to expect a charge with from this company:
"Please note that your card statement will list "DRI*WWW.ELEMENT5.INFO" "
SO it's possible that you have bought something from another company which uses Element5 for the billing.

Further research on the internet shows this company is a legitimate vendor authorized to make charges for client companies. The charge on my MasterCard WAS legitimate, but to a client company of ELEMENT5.com.
So, if you about to dispute a claim with these people, double check ALL your transaction to see if you did make a charge for the same amount to another company.
