Drumcrew Masonry Christopher McCluskey Took my $2200 deposit. Did not do the work. Still trying to recover my money after 11 months Somerville Massachusetts

I hired Chris in July of 2015 to repoint and repair the front of my house. He had done work for me before and I was pleased with the work. He took a $2200 deposit from me. Several weeks went by, so I started contacting him asking when he would start. He said that he injured himself so I remained patient. After a couple months, I asked for my deposit back. At that point, he told me that he thought the scope of the work was too much for him anyway and said he would return the deposit. After several more weeks wnet by of me calling him, going to his business address, and basically chasing him down for my $2200, I took him to Small claims court. We met with a mediator and he agreed to repay. Well, his court-recognized timeline to pay has come and gone and he still is dodging me. THIS BUSINESS IS SHADY AND UNETHICAL. Yes, I would like to get my money back but I also dont want others to get screwed by him. Watch OUT!!
