We were relocating from Florida to Texas and did some research on line for moving companies. The one that contacted me that I "thought" was a great company, is the one I ended up using, this was Nationwide Relocation Servcies. The person that I talked with numerous times was very reassuring to me about the whole move thing. After many other calls and talking with many other companies, I decided to go with Nationwide. What I was not told is that they sub this out to other smaller companies.

My contract gave us a guarented delivery date no later than April 1st. They picked up my furniture on March 18th. For the 2 weeks following the pick up, I was called every other day to let me know that the drivers were going to be delivering in the next few days.

I was told by Nationwide that we would need cash, money order for payment upon delivery. So we got a cahsiers check, when the driver finally got here 5 days late, we offered them the cashiers check. The driver called his office and I talked with the office person and she told me they would not accept a cahiers check, as this could be disputed. Hummmmm...... So we went back to the bank and got the cash.

When they were bringing in our belongins, the boxes that were clearly marked "fragile", were a total mess. Our mattress was ruined by oil, and we had a bunch of things ruined. 1 being my compressor that I use for work. They are only paying $.60 per pound for any damage, so a $900.00 compressor we will only be reimbused $48.00 for this. Our mattress which wieghs about 100 pounds we will only get $60.00 for. They broke some of my very precious items that I have collected for years, and becuase they don't weight but a pund, we will only get $.60 for them. We also had a 50 gallon fish tank that they wrapped and boxed them selves and it still got broken.

If you are looking to use a moving company... don't use Nationwide relocation or Duntara Moving and storage.

This Company is a fraud!

AUTHOR: Do Not Use Dantara Movers!!! - ()

POSTED: Thursday, August 22, 2013

Now they are operating under the name of American Moving & Storage.  They claim the company this consumer used was  a broker, which is not true.  They operate under different aka aliases.  We have reported them to the better business bureau, states attorney office, state consumer agency, and will send a letter to the state representative where their parent company (yes another company) resides to open an investigation.  They do not honor their agreements, so if they fail they will not return your deposit.  They make false marketing/advertisement claims and therefore need to be held accountable.  Their customer service reps yell at you, and will even hang up on you.

I am not going to rest until either a suit is filed on behalf of all the consumers they have defrauded or the states attorney's office takes control of this.  They should not be doing business.  I can't begin to list the number of issues we had, and luckily they only got our deposit - which we intend to find for.  I can only imagine the poor consumers who go through with the move.

THIS CONSUMER IS RIGHT! DO NOT USE THEM.  I WILL BE POSTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA EVERYWHERE ABOUT ALL OF THESE COMPANIES WHO SUPPOSEDLY OPERATE AS ONE!

AUTHOR: Duntara Moving & Storage - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 01, 2009

Duntara Moving & Storage is appologetic to the customer for not realizing that they contracted a broker (Nationwide Relocation) to find them their movers.

Duntara Moving & Storage is responsible for providing the best relocation for our customers. We are extremely sorry that her move did not go as well as we expected with the delay in delivery and the alleged items damaged.

Our Terms and Conditions are written on the back of the Bill of Lading that governed Ms. Carols relocation. All of the documents that governed her move is given to the customer prior to loading for them to read over and sign prior to the driver leaving residence upon completion.

The verbage clearly states that all balances are to be paid prior to delivery in the form of Postal Money Order, Cash or Bank Money Wire. No where in our contract does it say Cashiers Check as customer indicated above. Also, a signature was produced on our Bill of Lading from this customer acknowledging the claims amount for damage and or missing items would be calculated at .60 / lb / article.

We are sorry for this customers mis-understanding of what she signed and entered into with Nationwide Relocation. We at Duntara Moving & Storage make every effort to make it very clear to the customers in writing so there is no confusion.

We hope this answers her complaint as it was not our fault there was a misunderstanding in regards to the documents that governed her move from our end.
