E-CREDIT SOLUTIONS, INC., this is a scam!

Thank god I remembered the one rule when dealing with unfamilar indentities over the phone....Never give out your social security number!

I too, received a postcard in the mail stating I was pre-approved for a $4,000.00 Diamond unsecured credit limit, just call 1 800-866-4599. Very interesting, so I called to get more info, like interest rates, member fees, ect. I was told by the operator we would discuss all of this after some minor information for qualification that she needed. I agreed.

I gave her my name "as I would want it on the card" as she put it. I told her I am not agreeing to anything that I was seeking information. She said that this was not a commitment, just minor info.

I continued with name, address, name of my bank, city & state of my bank, did not have phone number to my bank, then it came, "your social security number please?". I told her I don't give it out on the phone. The operator said it was necessary to continue with process in order for me to review the to be credit obligations. I told her I would not give her my social security number...she hung up on me! Be warned, this is a scam!
