This is crazy. A company that lies, gets your money, and does shady business. I set a move with this thing called REVA or REBA of east west movers. I was trapped by her smooth talking and extremely low price. Too good to be true. After we set up the move, I looked up the company and found out that this is a major scam. I immediately called them (within an hour) and attempted to cancel. It seems that if you give them your credit card number they will take all the money they want. She told me one price for a deposit over the phone and charged me $200.00. I asked for a refund and she said "NO". "They don't do REFUNDS."Reva went from the nicest person to the meanest thing once she had my deposit. I didn't even get a reciept or any other type of confirmation of the transaction we had. I was stupid for not researching this company. I don't even think they exist, because I did not get any hard evidence from them. Other companies gave me an ICC code, and can be found on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website. This company???? At minimum wage, this scam cost me two weeks of pay, and I am absolutely regretting it. May god have mercy on her soul.

In a rebuttal East West movers said they had plenty of other customers... I can tell you I am NOT one of them. We hired them for a move... They quoted us a reasonable figure per pound, and a reasonable weight. And thats about the only thing positive I can say. I'm actually about to post my own issue with them, but felt it was appropriate to post this part here. After they had our property they claimed that the wieght was double what they innitially estimated, they said that it wieghed more at the warehouse than estimated and would need full payment before any delivery could be made. Obviously we demanded a rewiegh like they were legally obliged to give us, and magically our stuff wieghed almost to the nose of the first estimate. Even after this they tried to up our gas surcharges from what was on the contract, tried to charge us a gas surcharge on the imaginary xtra weight, and etc. Loads more problems with them. But long story made short AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!!

THIS CUSTOMER LIES ABOUT EVERYTHING . HE BOOKED THE MOVE WITH US 0N 08/16/08 WE E MAILED HIM A CONFIRMATION E MAIL THAT HE ASKED FOR ON THE SAME DAY.WHEN WE GOT THE MSG THAT HE WANTED TO CANCELL WE CALLED AND CALLED WE LEFT HIM SO MANY MSGS WE DIDNT UNDERSTAND WHY HE WANTS TO CANCELL THE MOVE WITH NO RESPOND FROM HIM , WHEN HE DID CALL BACK HE SAID THAT HE IS NO LONGER MOVING SO WE REFUNDED THE $200 DEPOSIT.
WHEN HE WAS ASKED ABOUT THIS RIPOFF REPORT HE SAID THAT HE WAS SORRY AND THAT HE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT HE SAID HE DIDNT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING AND THAT SOMEONE TOLD HIM TO DO THAT.
ON 9/08/08 I CALLED HIM TO LET HIM KNOW THAT THE DEPOSIT WAS REFUNDED HE WAS VERY RUDE TOLD ME NOT TO CALL HIM ANYMORE . I ALSO ASKED WHAT IS HE GOING TO DO WITH THIS REPORT - WE REFUNDED HIM HIS MONEY SO HE SAID THAT HE CANT DO ANYTHING AND HANG UP THE PHONE ON ME FOR THE 3RD OR 4TH TIME.
REVA DIDNT LIE TO THE CUSTOMER THE CUSTOMER IS THE ONLY LIER IN THIS CASE.
WE ARE A REPUTABLE COMPANY WHO THRIVE ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION , WE ARE MEMBERS OF AMSA AND WE ARE IN GOOD STANDING WITH THEM.
WE HAVE TONS OF HAPPY CUSTOMERS AND MANY REFERRALS.

What you need to do is immediately call your credit card company and file a dispute for the charge. The credit card company will then demand from the mover evidence supporting the charge. If you in fact cancelled in writing with the moving company, present this as evidence to the credit card company. If the mover can not present any evidence that the move was not cancelled, then the credit card company will reverse the charge.
Moving is not an inexpensive venture and choosing the cheapest mover will cost you more in the end. I would highly recommend you do the move yourself. Look into renting a Penske or Budget Rent-a-Truck; I've seen too many articles on bad things that happen with U-Hauls that I would be cautious at a minimum.
