Ebates BEWARE - CANNOT DEPEND ON PAYMENT FROM EBATES Internet

Ebates advertised a bonus rate of 3% for Home Depot purchases on June 11, 2009 i clicked through Ebates obtained and recorded a tracking number and purchased a range for $798.00 when the credit had not appeared a month later i contacted Ebates and was told that home depot did not honor the rebate. As a consumer i have no way of knowing if Ebates is honest or if Ebates simply failed to enforce its agreement with home depot. What i know for sure is i cannot depend on any representation Ebates makes. In this instance it made a difference because i could have purchased the same range for less at Home Everything but I assumed Ebates would pay.
