There has been no compensation for our funds expended as a result of what I would now, certainly call a bogus agreement to rent out 308,000 points the proceeds of which were guaranteed to us by Rui Veloso of El Cid Vacations Club, Mazatlan, and to be paid by Jan.'08. The cost to us has amounted to over $12,000. U.S.
The PROFECO consumer protection agency in Mexico has so far failed to respond to this complaint, insisting that since the written agreement bears no company seal or official signature, they refuse to act on our behalf, by approaching the management of the El Cid Vacations Club and insisting that this company be responsible for the misrepresentation by Rui Veloso and provide compensation to us in the amount of $12,333. U.S. I have no Knowledge of PROFECO having taken such action.

I've spent a lot of money and i was scammed by other companies trying to cancel my timeshare.
My advice is that if you're going to hire a company to help you with the problem, DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UPFRONT, because it use to be a fraud.
I did a research on internet and i found some interesting articles, i recommend you to read this one:

I'm so sorry to read your sad story. Please read my report I posted and maybe it will give you some suggestions as to how to further fight to get your money back.
If you were promised anything by Phoenix Vacation Property Management, be very suspicious. I believe they are simply another way for El Cid to squeeze money out of their victims while promising them they will rent out their timeshare weeks or sell their other timeshare properties!
