Elan Financial Services sent collection letter on unpaid credit card balance of $1,016.91. Never heard of them or their credit card. St. Louis, Missouri

Out of the clear blue sky, I received a letter from the Elan Financial Company, PO Box 108, St. Louis, Mo. indicating that I owe them $1,016.91 on their credit card #4147768566488548 and that the account is past due and I should pay them $85 immediately.

I have never heard of the Elan Financial Company nor have I ever applied for a credit card from them.  I have never received a statement from them  I do have credit cards from big banks and the American Express.  I do not do business with financial companies.
