Elephant Structures/Carolina Carports 18X21X6 Carport Wilkesboro North Carolina

On July 12, 2017 I ordered an eighteen by 21 foot carport. Paul, the sales person I spoke with at Elephant structures.com told me that it would be about two to three weeks since it will be comming out of either Georgia or Mississippi even though the web site said four to six weeks. He told me that I would receive an email to verify the purchase and after that if I did not here from anyone in about two weeks to contact him.

After three weeks I callled to find out if they were still on scedule or not and Paul contacted the scheduler for this area and he told me that they said they are a little behind and they would contact me next week, so I said ok. After the next week went by, I have not heard from anyone and called the following Monday and Paul gave me the phone number to the sheduling department and I called them and they cpuld not tell me when they could scedule an insall date.

By this time it has been over two months. About the second week of September I called to find out about an install date again and they kept giving me the run around, so I aske if I can cancell the order and they said that I could but will not get my deposit back per the terms and conditions that they have 90 days to deliver. I asked what terms and conditions as I have not been told about them or seen them. They said that They sent me an email with alink to the terms and conditions, but that link does not work.

Being that they never told me about the terms and conditions and the email link does not work, and the fact that you are only made aware of any terms and conditions after a deposit is made, their terms and conditions are null and void according to an attorney and the company can be sued.

On Tuesaday October 3, 2017 Carolina Carports callled me to tell me they will install the carport on Thursday October 5, 2017. I was not aware that Carolina Carports was going to install the carport that ordered from Elephant Structures. Then on Wednesday October 6, 2017, they called to tell me that it will be installed on Friday October 6, 2017 instead of Thursday and will call me when they get close to my location, which they did not.

On Friday October 6, 2017 a crew of four workers showed up to install the Carport which took a little less than two hours and had a little trouble drilling two of the four augers in the ground and one wold only go so far, so the bent it down to fit by beating it with a sledge hammer denting the rail that it bolts onto and now it looks a bit sloppy and spray painted it with silver paint. On the other side, they said it was about three inches low, so they put three bricks under the rail and then fastened it down, which was a bit flimsy after they were done and now I have to fix it.

Only one of the four workers spoke english and that was the one that asked all the questions of where the carport is to be installed, were there any underground lines in the way, ect..... Which it was on a level unobstructed area, which was good.

If I were to order a carport, it definately would not be with Elephant Structures or anyone else affiliated with Carolina Carports as their communication is very poor at best and the workers do not even speak english, which tells me that some of them may be here illegally and really do not know what they are doing.
